Students from Jalukie undertake national integration tour

Dimapur, Oct 22 (EMN): Troops of 36 Assam Rifles has conducted a National Integration Tour (NIT) for 20 students and along with two teachers of various schools from October 5 to 14.
The team visited places of historical and tourist importance at Delhi, Chandigarh and Amritsar. The team visited India Gate, Parliament House, National Museum, Akshardham Temple in Delhi and Rock garden and Sukuna Lake in Chandigarh and Golden Temple and Jallianwallah Bagh in Amritsar.
The team also got the rare opportunity to interact with the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. The students also interacted with Lt. Gen. GS Dhillon, Chief of Staff, Headquarter Western Command. The team also witnessed the retreat ceremony at Wagha Border.
The tour culminated on October 14 at Dimapur. The students have appreciated the effort taken by Assam Rifles for providing the opportunity, which gave them an insight into ethnic and cultural diversity of the country.
