Students’ bodies support ENSF

Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): Six students’ unions from Eastern Nagaland has supported the demand of Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF) and reaffirmed to stand with the federation till the justice is delivered.
This was decided during an emergency meeting of the Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), Yimchungru Akheru Arihako (YAA), United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) and Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) held in Kohima on September 20.
The six federating units have asked the State government to immediately address the matter in the interest of the six backward tribes of Eastern Nagaland as per the government notification.
Stating that the demand of the federation is not beyond the notification, the federating units felt that the government should uphold the notification.
Further, the house has also resolved to direct all the aspirants to comply with the directive of the federation. This was stated in a joint statement issued by USSC president Thrikyse Sangtam, YAA president Yansomong Yimchungru, KSU president Hatho Khiamniungan, KSU president Longai Konyak, PSC president Hongkam Phom, and CCSU president Chingmak Kumchuba.
