Straightway school celebrates parents’ day
Mokokchung, Oct. 21 (EMN): Straightway School, Mokokchung, celebrated its annual parents’ day with S Arenla Longkumer, principal of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, as the chief guest in the school campus.
In her speech, Arenla compared the home to a full department where all the departments of discipline, beauty, law and above all, love forms the basic ingredients to bring them as social assets. She further stated that parents should take full responsibility to rear the God-given children instead of relying on others or handing them over to computers, televisions and tutors.
“Today’s parents do care about clothing their children with their physical needs but it is time for parents to clothe their children spiritually as they are God’s inheritance to us,” she added.
She appreciated the proprietor Dr. Aotemshi for the contribution and sacrifice towards the society through the school. She also encouraged the teachers to prepare the students beyond the classroom and further reminded the students to fear the Lord and use their God-given gifts.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Deepika, assistant teacher, while the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Awala Temshi, administrator. Speech on behalf of the parents was delivered by Visheli H.
The programme also witnessed presentations from Montessori and Kindergarten to talent exhibitions from ten different clubs of the school.
