Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): State BJP has hit out at the statement of AICC secretary in-charge of Nagaland Dr. K Jayakumar for crediting the Indian National Congress for inking the Framework Agreement between the NSCN-IM and the Government of India (GOI), while it also accused the Congress- led UPA of playing delay tactics for years on the Naga political issue.
While dismissing AICC claim, BJP media cell stated that everyone knows that it was only after Modi’s leadership that things are moving forward. On the food habit, it stated that Northeast was exempt from any forms of restriction. On the contrary, BJP has accused the Congress of failing to deliver development as per the aspiration of the people during its regime in the past. It stated that corruption bloomed during their era.
It stated that BJP believes in the Constitution of India as enshrined in the party constitution and is committed to positive secularism. It stated that the party under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take politics beyond considerations of caste, family-dominance, appeasement, vote-bank and main streaming the politics of performance in the country.
Meanwhile, state unit Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched its second phase booth- level workers training/meeting in Mon district covering two mandals namely 46 Mon town and 44 Phomching assembly constituencies on January 12. The team is being led by its training convener K James Vizo, state secretary Lima Onen Chang, and Yanghose Sangtam, co-convener of media cell.
At Mon town more than thousand people along with 280 booth-level workers and local committee and mandal workers attended the training. At Phomching, 380 workers attended the meeting chaired by the district president Nyawang Konyak, while the welcome speech was delivered by Chingjon, mandal president of 44 Phomcing AC and the vote of thanks was delivered by Nokba.
The meeting at Mon town was also chaired by district president and invocation was said by O Kamzei Konyak followed by welcome address delivered by Lemhu Konyak, vice president 46 Mon town AC and the vote of thanks was delivered by Chinglei Konyak, vice president BJP Mon district.
Addressing the gathering, K James Vizo said Bharatiya Janata Party is the only political party that has maximum internal democracy within the system unlike others which are based on family background, dynasty and without firm ideology and principle .
Lima Chang highlighted that Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to development agendas and has nothing to do with religion but rather believes in positive secularism.
Yanghose Sangtam explained the various flagship launched under Modi’s government focussing on the downtrodden section the people. Vice president Er Cheong Konyak also addressed the gathering at Mon town.
The party further informed that booth-level training at 43 Tapi Mandal and 41 Tizit Mandal would be conducted on January 13.
