Stage set for vote counting at Kiphire

Counting Observer for Kiphire with other officers at Kiphire
Counting observer Ritess Kumar Singh, DC Kiphire, M. Shayung Phom and other senior officers at the DC office in Kiphire on May 20.

Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): In view of the nation-wide vote counting for the Lok Sabha elections on May 23, counting observer for the lone parliamentary seat in Nagaland, Ritess Kumar Singh, arrived at Kiphire district on May 20.

Singh had a review meeting with the district administration and Superintendent of Police Kiphire at the Deputy Commissioner’s office chamber after his arrival, an update from DIPR informed.  The observer also “asked the district administration to be very careful while handling the VVPATs during counting in order to avoid unnecessary errors.”

The counting observer inspected the strong room and the place of vote counting at the DC office. He was accompanied by DC Kiphire, M. Shayung Phom; ADC, Reny Wilfred, IAS; SP Kiphire, Y.E Ngullie, IPS and other senior officers.
