Dimapur, June 16 (EMN): St. John College honoured two Nagaland University (NU) gold medallists namely Patrick Kithan, BSc Physics (Hons), and Kewimesin Nriame, BSc Zoology (Hons) in a short function by awarding INR 10,000 each.
While appreciating their hard work and achievements, Peter Banks, administrative head of the college, handed over the prizes. The gold medallists were also honoured through the kind words of Physics HoD, Ashok Rai, and present 5th semester student, Acham.
The college’s principal, Dr. ST Janetius, motivated the students by advising them to focus in studies.
Gold medallist, Patrick Kithan shared his experience with the students. He, firstly, thanked God for his success. He stated that ‘hard work’ and ‘smart work’ are the keys to success.
Peter Banks advised the students to identify their weaknesses and focus on those areas rather than simply revising in areas they are already comfortable.
A surprised gift was also presented to Khomo Chetnyu, B.Sc. Physics, who attained SGPA of 7 in her 4th semester examinations.
