SSP students crack UPSC NDA/NA exam

Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) successful candidates of the UPSC NDA/NA examinations.

Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): True to its aim “One aim one goal NDA,” five cadets of 2016-17 batch from Sainik School Punglwa successfully cleared the written exam conducted by UPSC for the 139th NDA & 101th NA (National Defence Academy and Naval Academy) course. The NDA/NA written examination was conducted by UPSC in April 2017.
It is for the first time in the history of Sainik School Punglwa that five of its cadets cleared the prestigious all India UPSC NDA/NA written exam. The name of cadets, who brought lourels to the school are Nagaito K Yeptho, Pihuto H, Dharnidar Kumar, Beri James and Jongzar Imchen.
Again for the first time in the history of Sainik School Punglwa, Kewingam Newmai of the last batch cleared the SSB and was shortlisted in the merit list for joining the National Defence Academy. However, due to medical reasons he could not join.
The school has expressed pride and happiness for the successful cadets, who recently cleared the UPSC written examination. Sainik School Punglwa strived hard in motivating, nurturing and preparing cadets to join the Armed Forces as officer. The successful cadets will be undergoing training at school for their Service Selection Board (SSB) interview under trained assessors.
Group Captain Sanjay Gaekwad, School Principal, and all staff members have congratulated the successful cadets for making the school proud.
