Songs of India : Workshop on song-writing and worship held

123 3Musik-A (Alobo Naga School of Music) in association with Livejam India and CMPA UK/US organised a one day workshop under “Songs Of India” project on song writing and worship by Allen Ganta worship pastor (Sounds of the Nations) on March 17 at Music-A : Alobo Naga School of music, Dimapur.
A press release issued by one of the organisers on March 17 mentioned that more than 40 worship artists, leaders, musicians and songwriters from various churches, bible colleges, lyricists and poets from across the state participated at the workshop.
The session is said to have included both theoretical and practical know-how on song-writing and music, including breakout sessions where the participants were made to write and compose songs, and were made to perform their songs.
Workshop mentors is said to have had feedback and evaluation of the participants at the end.
The organisers in the release informed that they are coming up with a follow-up/community to establish a local chapter of the participants to ensure that regular meets take place, to write more songs for the community.
The vision and aim of ‘Songs of India’ project is said to empower individuals towards writing songs of the Lord with the sound of the land.
Also the project is said to have aimed to compose 500 fresh songs in five years using Indian languages and music.
