THERE are many who will argue with the fact that technology holds the answer to the problems of an individual. But, but very few who will actually prove it; on the other hand, cannot live with the void of not having technology to make things easier.
Twenty years ago, technology was for the motivator or ‘the mighty of the world.’ But today technology and computerization have taken over the world by storm. It is only getting bigger and better. As people grow, the meaning of computerization or technological advancement can differ. To a child, it may be the way a vehicle move or simply the way their favorite toy operates.
Imagine waking up in the morning and not having to look though all your social media accounts; imagine not being able to show off your new purchases to your friends. How many of you actually have an alarm clock sitting at your bedside but not your cell phone? Abusing the snooze button is a different case. Technology makes every little thing easier.

In comparison to the past decades when the Einsteins and the Bill Gates of the world were the only ones who used technology, it has come a very long way in influencing the laymen; helping them prosper. Computerization goes hand in hand with modernization and the changes that follow can either be a positive or negative influence for the user.
To an old person, it may be the way medical equipments in hospitals operate to save their life and to prevent decline in health. To a teenager or a young adult like this writer, computerization or, broadly,  technology, can simply means this: the coffee machine operates and give different flavors to the brew just with the touch of a button; the extraordinary fact that one can connect to any part of the world with just a click.
Personally, in supposing that a quarter of the population understands technology as the ability to connecting with the world through social media and its services. People today do not need to leave their abode just to earn their daily wage. They can easily stay in their system and earn more than the person with multiple jobs.
Example: a blooming business of this era is Online Shopping. It is an experience that from which not only the seller but also the buyer profits. The seller sells high-end designer products to accessories of various kinds to consumers and the price depending on the uniqueness or wearibility of item in question.
“Sometimes, there is not even a single costumer entering the shop and if by luck a costumer enters, it is usually to check the fit so that they can buy it online when there is a discount,” said a local salesperson, to this writer during a recent interaction about online business.
Another example are instagram users—an app where people post personal images or videos to the world. Companies target accounts that have many followers offering free products or samples and soliciting individuals to post products on their accounts. This method of marketing is an advertisement for the companies which profits both the company and the person (example: Instagram user).
YouTube, the second most popular social networking website next to Facebook can also be regarded as a money-making giant. Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg or PewDiePie as he is famously known, is the most subscribed channel on YouTube (where he post gaming videos, challenges, comedy etc.) with over 44 million subscribers from across the world. He was also named Forbes’ ‘richest youtuber’ in 2015; his earning was then estimated at $12 million.
The world today is too inclined towards technology; its never-ending benefits making a person lazier and dependent.
It also makes a person socially-awkward as the amount of time invested in virtual conversations is more than the time he actually spends in socializing in the actual world. But as it is said, the best things in life also come with a price to pay. Likewise, the advancement in technology may have hurdles along the way. Nonetheless, it is a very small price to pay for the amount of help we receive from technology.
