DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 13

The apex body of the Sumi students’ community, the Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK), has begun undertaking a massive operation of ‘cleansing the society of malaise and wrong practices’ within Sumi inhabited areas with the motto, “Doing Right.”
The mission “Doing Right” was kicked off led by SKK President Ninoto Awomi at a press conference on Saturday February 13 at Hiyo Café Dimapur.
The SKK informed that under its mission “Doing Right” four agendas will be carried out by inviting stakeholders, think-tank, legislators, bureaucrats and other strata of the society.
The first agenda in their mission includes ban on proxy teachers in all Sumi inhabited areas while the second issue was to work towards clean and sincere execution of public offices, institutions etc. The students’ body has also affirmed itself to see that all contract works under Sumi inhabited areas were carried out under right specifications and implemented accordingly.
Akin to NBCC’s Clean Election Campaign, the fourth agenda of SKK is to work towards the conduct of clean elections in all Sumi inhabited areas.
With these missions in mind, the SKK has called upon all stakeholders ranging from legislators and bureaucrats to the commoditized rural level, civil societies, educational institutions, contractors, government employees in Sumi inhabited areas, national workers, churches and every individual to extend their cooperation towards its mission of “Doing Right.”
