Dimapur, August 22 (EMN): Anti Extortion Teams (AET) of Dimapur Zone-I led by ASI Itokhu arrested three alleged NSCN (R) activists on August 18 from Murgipatti area while they were serving illegal notice to some members of the business community.
The arrested persons were identified as ‘SS’ Col. Vicky Zhimo (42), son of Lhoghoto Zhimo of Tukunasami village and present resident of Ekranipathar; ‘SS’ Luiet Kikito Labo (28), son of Akoho Labo of VK Town and present resident of Thilixu Block-4; ‘SS’ Luiet Santosh D Sangma (38), son of Anand Mohan of Ekranipathar village.
The team recovered ‘illegal’ notification issued to various wholesale dealers as well as the “Assignment Azah” issued to one Mrs Lobo for collection of items from Rail Bazaar. Case in this connection has been registered with the East Police Station.
On August 17, Dimapur police manning Chumukedima check gate led by ABSI Ruovi Zao intercepted a truck bearing registration No. NL07A 6077 and recovered 60 (sixty) packets of contraband Ganja weighing approximately 600 kgs. The truck was seized and one person namely Thingse Sangtam (32), son of late Kijumong of Seyochung village under Kiphire district was arrested in this connection. Case in this regard has been registered with the Diphupar Police Station.
Meanwhile on August 21, Anti-Vehicle Theft Squad (AVTS) of the Dimapur police led by L/Naik Katovi recovered two motor cycles and arrested two persons namely Sushoka Chishi (19), son of Vihoshe of Sutemi village, and Ohito Chishi (28), son of late Nikaho of Lita New village and present resident of Bank Colony, Dimapur.
Police release has termed Sushoka Chishi as a notorious bike lifter and wanted in other bike theft cases. The police recovered a Yamaha R15 bearing Engine No. G3C780002851 and Chassis No. MEIRG0612E0002851 and a TVS Apache bearing Engine No. 0E4LF2862880 and Chassis No. MD634KE46F2L27176 from their possession. Case in this connection has been registered with the Diphupar Police Station, it added.
