Dimapur, Feb. 10: The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has also decided to impose bandh on Monday in ENPO jurisdiction but only for six hours, from 6 am to 12 noon. This was confirmed to Eastern Mirror by the president of ENPO, Kekongchim Yimchungru.

“Taking into account the negative impact of the CAB on the people of the state in the long run, and as ENPO resolved to oppose the CAB bill tooth and nail, it calls for a bandh in the ENPO jurisdiction on Feb. 11 urging the state government to call for an emergency assembly and pass a resolution opposing the CAB,” a statement from ENPO media cell read.

In view of the ensuing NBSE examination for HSLC and HSSLC students scheduled to begin on Feb. 12, the ENPO has decided to observe the bandh for only six hours to allow enough time for students and school authorities to prepare for the exams “without any disturbances as the future of the students cannot be compromised,” it informed.
