Since 90’s band Wins NSACS multimedia campaign 2017

The band, Since 90’s from Dimapur was declared winner of the NSACS 7th Multimedia Campaign 2017 held at the Heritage on Dec. 1, a press note stated.
The band walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 2 lacs while ‘Pay The Rent’ from Kohima and ‘Trance Effect’ Dimapur were adjudged the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively. The two bands were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lac and Rs. 50,000 respectively.
Other prizes included best vocalist which was bagged by Fifth Note, best guitarist by Trance Effect, best bassist by Pay The Rent, best drummer by Since 90’s and best original song by Tune Up Channel.
Altogether 12 bands is said to have competed at the state level band competition which was held under the theme “Life Now, Yes Life, No HIV.” It may be noted that the Multimedia Campaign was organised with the view to create HIV awareness through Music, stated the release.
Commissioner and Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, N. Ramakhrishnan (IAS), who spoke at the event impressed upon the gathering to treat people living with HIV with love and affection. “This is one life. We have to enjoy and live this life happily”, he said. He especially urged upon the youth population to spread awareness on HIV.
