Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): Former chief minister and president of NPF, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, has unfurled the national flag at Nagaland House, New Delhi, on the occasion of 54th Nagaland statehood day on December 1.
Dr. Shürhozelie recounted that he had seen the President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan coming to Kohima on December 1, 1963, to inaugurate the Nagaland state as the 16th states under the Indian Union. He said today the state had adopted a work culture in functioning with the Union Government of India.
A press release issued by PRO Nagaland House, Kuolie Mere stated that parliamentary secretary of horticulture, HG & CD Namri Nchang; parliamentary secretary of technical education N Thomas Ngullie; and visiting officers from the state and the staff of Nagaland House, New Delhi, attended the programme.
