The Agra unit of the Shiv Sena has announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for every Hindu family which has five children.
Concerned over the falling growth of Hindu population in the recent census figures, the Sena unit has introduced the reward system, District Chief of the Shiv Sena, Veenu Lavania said yesterday.Each family that has five kids between 2010 to 2015 will get Rs 2 lakh. The parents will need to furnish birth certificates from the municipal corporation, he added.
Shiv Sena has also expressed concern over the growing Muslim population. They demanded a uniform civil code and an end to the system of “several wives per husband”.
Bajrang Dal raises concern over ‘decreasing’ Hindu population-CLIPPING
Within days after government released religion-based census, the Kanpur wing of Bajrang Dal today launched a campaign to spread awareness about the “decreasing share” of Hindus in the country’s population.
Bajrang Dal has decided to run this campaign to raise awareness among Hindus about their decreasing numbers,” Bajrang Dal convener Kushpal Singh said Launching the campaign in several parts of the city, Singh asked why only Hindus should follow the policy of ‘hum do, hamare do’ (We two, our two) and said the community will lag behind if its population continues to decrease.
Dal’s activists raised slogans and distributed pamphlets as part of the campaign.
