Shitilong S/A today place its spot as an contender in their pool after they humiliated the Onet Korang S/C by 8-0, while NU Lumami clinched their place for quarter final after a 1-1 draw against the defending Champion Fusion S/C at XXI MDFA trophy.
Sakutemjen’s hat trick along with Rhitso Mero double score, Lipoksashi, Kezevitu and Stephen scores slammed the Onet Korang S/C in the first match today.
Sakutemjen jersey-12 netted the first goal for Shitilong S/A in one minutes of the start giving a lead, followed by a another goal in the seven minute by the striker Rhitso Mero Jersey -29.
Shitilong with two lead in their favor press forward with better attacking plan. While Onet defense not been place in watertight and it started leaking, with better ball position striker Sakutemjen again penetrated the line and nail his second goals in 17 minutes sending a strong sensation of frustration for Onet supporters. The Onet mood was not pleased as Shitilong added their four goals in 32 minutes by Sakutemjen with deadly accuracy completing its hat trick.The misery still continued for Onet in the second half as goals rain upon them, Rhitso Mero nail the fifth score in 40 minutes while Lipoksashi jersey-9 netted the sixth goal four minutes later.
As Onet broke in pieces, Shitilong showed no mercy, adding its seventh just six minutes later as defender Kezevitu jersey-2 thrashed into the net. The last strike of Shitilong came from the boots of its defender Stephen jersey-4 in the 66 minutes. A yellow was also received by Nipato jersey-23 of Shitilong during the match. Shitilong with one goalless draw and one win will face SSS on October 15.
In the second matched the defending champion Fusion F/C mounted the match with better ball position however NU Lumami surprise them when midfielder Yingnyei M Konyak landed a header in a corner kick assist by Pumgaying jersey-9. However it was equalized by Fusion on 54 minutes by midfielder Mathang jersey-7. The keeper of NU Lumami P Doson and defender Thanggounmang received yellow card during the match. NU Lumami with two win and one draw cleared its window for Semifinal.
Meanwhile, then Miss Nagaland 2013 Imlibenla Wati and the crowned Miss World Beauty India also came to witness the match today; she was received by the MDFA officials and well-wishers with a grand reception. Imlibenla Wati will represent India at the Miss World Beauty International to be held at South Korea.
