Kohima, Jan. 19 (EMN):
The 25th anniversary celebrations of the Naga Shisha Hoho prayer centre at Prüzie, in Kohima, began on Jan. 19 at the prayer centre, with the biblical theme ‘To obey is better than sacrifice.’

The president of the Apostolic Ministries, Rev. Dr. Luozilie Sanchu was the speaker of the evening service, updates from the organisers informed on Saturday. In his speech, Sanchu spoke about four main points based on the theme of the anniversary. He encouraged the congregation to re-affirmed their faith in God and declare that Nagas are chosen by God.

During the British colonial rule, the Nagas were divided, the updates stated. The revival movement healed the people from the division too, he said. Sadly, issues of division in the society have become a barrier and hindrance to the mission of God, he said. He felt that young people are ‘very’ talented and skilful. He encouraged them to use their talents for

He said that the Nagas must follow the pattern of Jesus Christ in obedience. Nagas are commanded by God to obey the great commission and that the Nagas are called to live in the will of God. Nagas are a chosen generation of God, he said.

Pastor Vezokho Nyekha gave a brief history about the Naga Shisha Hoho prayer centre. The prayer centre was established in 1994, said to be under the divine guidance and the direction of God. The inception was based entirely on divine revelation, he said.

The congregation was treated with music from various choirs representing the 4th NAP Baptist Church, at Thizama; New Market NCRC, Kohima; and from the anniversary’s choir.

On Sun. Jan. 20, the morning worship service will be held at 10:00 am at the Naga Shisha Hoho prayer centre. The general secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho will bring the message from the Word of God; and Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao will preside over the morning worship service.
