Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): Party workers of the 58th Shamatore-Chessore assembly constituency Congress Committee (ACCC), in Tuensang district, have resolved to extend ‘fullest cooperation’ toward working for the uplift of the party and the constituency.
A resolution stating the objective was taken during a consultative meeting of Shamator-Chessore constituency’s Indian National Congress workers, held on April 12.
The meeting was presided over by W Akhum, secretary of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, also member of the Congress’ political affairs committee.
According to a press release from the ACCC on Sunday, the unit’s workers were stated to have ‘thanked the chairman for taking a lead in reorganising the Congress unit of 58th Shamator-Chessore in spite of difficulties.’
The members also discussed at length the “negligence and insincerity” of the People’s Democratic Alliance government toward the people of the Shamator-Chessore assembly constituency.
They are stated to have ‘pointed out the pitiable condition’ of the community health centre in Shamator where ‘not even a single doctor has been posted,’ besides the ‘shabby infrastructure.’ They also mentioned poor road conditions in the area, among other issues that were discussed during the meeting, the press release added.
