Dimapur, June 19 (EMN): The Naga Scholars’ Association (NSA) has opened its unit in Kohima, named Kohima Regional Unit on June 17. The opening programme and installation for the executive council was held at Heritage in Kohima. The unit will be led by Dr. Zavise Rume and Dr. Kholia as the president and the general secretary in line, the association updated media on Tuesday.
The president of the association while briefing the audience about the objectives emphasised the significance and relevance of the NSA for the Naga society.
Dr. R Vashum, one of the advisors of the NSA exhorted on the importance and responsibility of the association to respond to the needs of the scholars and the Naga society at large.
Vashum along with president administered the installation of the new executive council.
The release informed that this is the first regional chapter being established in the Nagaland as NSA is presently headquartered in Delhi with members spread across the globe.
