SBCK observes clean elections Sunday

SKK officials, resource persons and the congregation at the Clean Election Sunday on May 22 in Kohima.

Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): Sümi Baptist Church Kohima (SBCK) observed “Clean Election Sunday” on May 22 wherein the speakers of the service emphasised on “Doing Right” (Achipiu Mlanni) – clean election campaign initiated by All Sumi Students Union (SKK).
Speaking on the theme “Doing Right Mission,” Alobo Naga highlighted on the recently completed constituency-wise 1st phase public rallies of the SKK on clean election campaign.
Expounding on the rich biodiversity bestowed upon the people of Zunheboto, Alobo said there is ample opportunity to boost economy and promote tourism whereby youth could find employment.
He appealed the politicians, bureaucrats and all the stakeholders to stop corruption and live with a vision upholding true Christian principles and build the society convenient for the present and upcoming generations. He further challenged the youth to be responsible in bringing positive change in the State.
Meanwhile, Ninoto Awomi, President of All Sumi Students Union (SKK) highlighted the main objectives of SKK’s Mission Doing Right (Achipiu Mlahnni) and the vision for tackling four major issues namely to ensure Clean Elections, ensure quality education and check proxy teachers, ensure every government servant is stationed at their own place of posting and perform their duties efficiently, and to ensure quality developmental works and check contract works under the Mission “Doing Right” in Sumi’s Jurisdiction.
He stated the four objectives were arrived at during SKK first union Assembly, wherein SKK agreed to carry forward the four objectives under Mission Doing Right even in the near future.
