Dimapur, April 15 (EMN): The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (Sayo) in collaboration with the Nagaland Tourism department organised a 2-day tourist guide training to youths of the area at John Government Higher Secondary School, Viswema on April 5 and 6th.

The Sayo initiated the training programme as part of its yearly plan to induct local unemployed youth into the tourism sector as tourist guide and promote eco-tourism in the area in particular and the state in general, informed Sayo general secretary Vidukho Kintso in a statement. Akhale Vizol, director of tourism department, lead the team of resource persons during the programme.

The organisation has also informed that hunting and setting fire to the forest within the Southern Angami jurisdiction has been banned, and the offenders will be fined as well as imprisoned as per the law.
