Sanitation drive at Kigwema, Burma camp

Dimapur, August 10 (EMN): In observation of the 9th day of Swachhta Pakhwada, a cleanliness drive was conduted at Kigwema Village on August 9, organized by the NYK, Kohima in collaboration with the Directorate of Urban Development Swachh Bharat Mission.
The sanitation drive was initiated by the NYVs, Kohima along with the VAK club of Kigwema with the theme “To Keep the village clean and green”.
The main motive is to bring cleaner and greener society which will provide better and healthier surroundings. Youth from various clubs, the Kigwema Youth Organization, the village council and the Kigwema Students’ Union participated.
As part of Swachhta Pakhwada, initiated by Nehru Yuva Kendra Dimapur, Government of India and Ministry of sports Affairs, the Young People’s Fellowship (YPF), Dimapur organised a cleanliness drive at Burma Camp Dimapur on the August 5 under the theme, “Don’t be greedy. It’s time to be greeny.” A total of 17 youth volunteers participated.
