Sand suppliers issue rate list; warns against illegal charging

Dimapur, August 20 (EMN): The Sand Stockist & Suppliers’ Union of Dimapur (SSSUD) has listed out the price rates for carrying sand by the load. The union issued a press release on Sunday stating to have received complaints from customers ‘against high rate of sand’ imposed by vehicles at Ghorapatti.
The organisation has warned transporters against charging more than the stipulated rate.
‘Sand Stockist & Suppliers Union Dimapur (SSSUD), after receiving complaint from customers against high rate of sand imposed by the vehicles parked at Ghorapatti, today conducted surprise checking and warned the vehicles not to take more than the rate fixed by the Union for time being,’ the press release stated.
The fixed rate for direct load is as follows:
Kaneighat sand Rs 25000 per vehicle for 450 cft
Kolaimati sand –Rs 23000 per vehicle for 450 cft
Deopani sand –Rs 17000 per vehicle for 450 cft.
The Stockist rate are as follows:
Kaneighat sand –Rs 57 per cft
Kolaimati sand—Rs 53 per cft
Deopani sand—Rs 39 per cft
The union has requested customers to contact the mobile numbers: 9856767424, 9615127941, 9436007646, 9856984169, and 8575304004 if the stockists and suppliers charge more than the given rate.
‘…this rate is only for time being. Customers are also requested to check and know the quality and quantity of sand before purchasing,’ the press release added. The press release was appended by Nito, general secretary.
