Dimapur, August 21 (EMN): Rotary Club of Dimapur in association with House of Friendship, an old age home, celebrated World Senior Citizen Day at House of Friendship.
In a special programme, senior citizens- Khrieleno Terhuja, Pichano John Ngullie, Yashisungba, H yentio Swu and Fr. Abhraham were felicitated in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the society.
Speeches were delivered by Rotary club president, Vijay Sharma and chairman of old age home, Lucy Akokla.
On the occasion, health camp was organised for the senior citizens of the old age home and nearby areas. A talk on legal rights for senior citizens was given by advocate, Limatosi.
A special prayer was also offered for the senior citizens. The program was chaired by Dr P. Hanger Longchar.
