Kohima, April 20 (EMN): Aggrieved RMSA teachers took to the street early this morning as part of its second phase of agitation in the form of poster campaign against non-payment of five months salaries.
The teachers pasted posters along Raj Bhavan road, CM’s residence, TCP gate, Education minister’s residence, civil secretariat area etc.
RMSA teachers vented anguish and frustration through the posters some of which read: ‘We are government teachers, we are hungry,’ ‘We are teachers, not beggars,’ ‘Teachers are nation builders, build the nation by paying them,’ ‘We are tired of government lip service,’ ‘Nagaland government is scam,’ ‘Hon’ble Education Minister you have failed,’ ‘Your A/C XXXXXXXXX261 has a credit of 0.00 SBI,’ ‘Without agitation, no salary!!! Change your attitude, government of Nagaland,’ etc.NRMSATA general secretary, Kezothitho Keyho said failing on the part of the government and the department of positive response, the aggrieved teachers will hold a sit-in protest at the Civil Secretariat on April 25. In this regard, he informed all the convenor of the districts to mobilise all RMSA teachers to partake in the sit-in protest.
