Dimapur, Feb. 9 (EMN): Responding to selection of new office bearers held on February 5 at CPO hall, Chumoukedima, rival group has denied ‘Split in DDGBA over election/ selection of office bearers,’ while it also questioned the legitimacy of the former for inducting them without their knowledge.
It clarified that the search committee, which submitted nine office bearers name was objected as per the DDGBA constitution under Article 5 clause 3 in the general body meeting on November 24, 2018. Accordingly, it stated that eight administrative GBs units and tribal representatives held a meeting on December 1, 2018, wherein it directed the office bearers to conduct election/ selection of new office before on or before January 31, 2019.

Subsequently, a meeting was held on January 10, 2019, wherein a notification was issued for election/selection to be held on January 22, 2019, whereby a new team of office bearers was conducted peacefully in the presence of Nagaland GBs’ Federation as observers.
It, therefore, stated that split in the DDGBA does not arise as they are part and parcel of DDGBA.

The statement was issued by Isawoto Jimomi on behalf of W Kholie Kapfo, Rambilal Kachari, PC Kamai, P Dohoi, and Thrikongse Sangtam.
Meanwhile, the DDGBA president, Khehovi Chophi has directed all the eight administrative GBs units to manage their respective administrative area for the success of the bandh scheduled on February 11.

While urging the GBs to cooperate and coordinate with the civil societies on the day of bandh, the president has requested them to take active participation and be vigilant to prevent anti-social elements taking due advantage.
He has further urged all concerned to contact phone nos. 9436832385, 9436003788 and 9436066096 in the event of any emergency situation.
