‘Green Apple’ as interpreted by the band members comes from the colour green which signifies youthfulness and energy and apple that signifies knowledge.
The band’s debut single “Worth Special” is an adult contemporary rock track that talks about beauty of nature, heartfulness to help while connecting it with life.
Just after a year of formation, the band is nominated at the Nagaland Music Awards 2016 which will be held at the Hornbill Festival.

EASTERN MIRROR: Tell 2016-10-03-22-45-04_deco1us a bit about the set up of the band? And what do you guys do apart from playing in the band?
Green Apple: ‘ GREEN APPLE ‘ was originally formed in 2014 but started working as a band only from 2015 . The band comprises of:

• Seyiekhrietuo Sanchi

All the five members are about the same age , making the members fit in the band , apart from playing in the band , The five of the members are just ordinary students .

EASTERN MIRROR: Your song “Worth Special” sounds really good. Can you share what it’s about and who wrote it?
Green Apple: ‘ Worth Special ‘ gen2016-10-03-23-03-47_decore – Adult contemporary ( AC ) is our debut single written in the month of March and April but with few modifications and polishing it brought them to the end of September , the song tries to reach out to the listeners to comfort and to tell them ‘ How worthy they are even with their traumatic experience in life ,and as a simple trigger to be optimistic . As the song clearly talks about the beauty of nature , heart-fullness with a helping hand and then connecting it with a life , it was most written by Steve and Lhoulaneilie .

EASTERN MIRROR: EM: Who writes the songs in the band? How do you all blend your ideas and work towards the making of a song?
Green Apple: Steve and Lhoulaneilie writes out the songs in the band but All the five members blend their ideas together , To Write a song it takes time as it’s not about sounding Good but its about ‘ How the Expressions are put in it , to put perfection in work ,feeling it would be wise instead of rushing .

EASTERN MIRROR: How often do you guys play together and where?
Green Apple: We practice once or twice a week but we don’t dawdle or waste even a minute on our schedule recitals . There is no such fixed place for the band to jam but we do play/practice from our own house and we take turns.

EASTERN MIRROR: Who came up with the name of the band? What were the other options?
Green Apple: Surprisingly , with of all the five members present on that very day where We named our band ‘ Green Apple ‘ , As it was fresh and soothing , an intriguing notion to more about life in music . The other Names we brought up for the Band was like “ SOME ( some old memories ended )” , New Comers , Slow Beats Jeah etc .

EASTERN MIRROR: You guys have been nominated in the Nagaland Music Awards, all the best for that. Are you looking forward to it? What are the plans for the band in the future? When can we expect more songs from you guys?
