Review meeting between NSSATA and DoSE held

Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): The first review meeting between Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers Association (NSSATA) (2010 and 2013) and the department of the Education was held on July 12. A press release from the association informed on Friday.

The meeting was headed by principal secretary, director and senior account officer and the central and district executives of NSSATA, officials of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) attended the programme. The meeting was conducted as stated in the point of agreement at the time of the suspension of the 5 days agitation.

The association stated that the outcome of the meeting was positive. The department assured that it is ‘sincerely and diligently’ working and has made noticeable progress in addressing the issues of NSSATA, the press release added. The next review meeting has been scheduled on Aug. 18.

Further, the NSSATA acknowledge the sincere initiatives taken by the NSF and ENSF and expressed gratitude for their continuous support from the time of the agitation till date.

It may be noted that the 5 days agitation by NSSATA was suspended through the intervention of the NSF and ENSF. They acted as the mediator between the Department of Education and the agitated members of NSSATA.

The association urged the federations to continue to support the association. With the efforts and assistance of NSF and ENSF, there would be a final solution to the issues faced by the teachers, the NSSATA added.
