Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): The Rengma-Nagas, compelled to live under two separate administrations under Nagaland and Assam, have told RN Ravi of their desire to ‘live together as one’ during their recent interaction at Chumukedima.
“Rengma Hoho expressed strong resentment on further division on the Rengma in the event of the final solution between the Naga and the Indian. Rengmas were neglected and discriminated for so long and if Rengmas are to divide further more in the present dialogue between the Nagas and Indians it is tantamount to deny of justice”, stated a press release from Rengma Hoho on Saturday. “Rengmas were living on our own land since time immemorial with clear define territories which cannot be disputed, therefore Rengma Hoho urged the Interlocutor that justice should not be denied to the Rengmas”, it stated.
