Ready to take ‘any recourse’ to clear my name – Kire to NPF
Dimapur, April 15 (EMN): The opposition Naga People’s Front (NPF) recent allegation of nepotism and favouritism directed at the principal secretary of Nagaland government’s Rural Development, Lhoubeilatuo Kire threatens to snowball into a major controversy.
In response to the NPF allegation, Kire issued a statement on Sunday containing point-by-point clarifications; and the possibility of his taking “up any recourse – traditional/customary/legal to clear my name to the people of Nagaland”.
While asserting that the NPF had made ‘personalised allegations’ which could have been ‘discussed over the table to let me also explain my side of story’, Kire has invited the NPF press bureau to ‘personally come and clear up the issue’. For the NPF’s benefit, Kire has supplied them with his residential addresses.
