Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): The principal district and sessions judge, Dimapur on March 25 sentenced a rapist named Bongpha to ten years rigorous imprisonment while imposing a penalty of INR 500.
A press statement from the public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday informed that the judge had found the accused guilty of raping a physically challenged woman. The judge further recommended for award of compensation to the victim, it stated.
