Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): For a healthy living in keeping the town clean and to prevent natural calamities and ecological imbalance, Phek Town Council (PTC) has ordered the entire business establishment and public to stop the sell and use of plastic carry bag (polythene bag) with effect from December 1.
It has banned use of plastic carry (polythene bags) bag apart from company seal packaging and use of plastic wrapper (transparent plastic) in pan shops.
A press release issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner and PTC Administrator, K Mhathung Tsanglao warned that defaulters would be penalised with a sum of INT I 000. He has further empowered the Phek Town Youth Society to be vigilant and managed the banned order under their disposal.
