Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): The Public Service Aspirants of Nagaland continuing with its demand that government jobs above certain grades have to be filled up only through the NPSC it today disclosed various departments that are yet to requisition vacant posts to the NPSC and demanded to immediately requisition with a warning of confrontation if not implemented.
“The Public Service Aspirants of Nagaland (PSAN) questions the Finance department as to why 9 posts of JDAs that were forwarded by the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts on 28/4/17, have not been requisitioned to NPSC till date.
The PSAN demands immediate requisitioning for the benefit of the aspirants and also to avoid any unwanted confrontation,” stated a press release from the association.
The association also stated that 2 posts of Tourist Officers and Tourists Assistants in Tuensang and Phek was approved during a Cabinet meeting on May 23, 2016 but not a single post had been requisitioned to the NPSC. It stated that the association “wonders as to how and where the mentioned posts have vanished and why none has been requisitioned to NPSC.
It will be dutiful on the part of the Department of Tourism to strictly follow the requisition policy and recruitment rules.”
The association also alleged that a Class-III (non-gazetted) employee of NPSC was deputed to a Class-I post as BDO/RDO in the department of rural development violating the government’s deputation rules recently.
“It is very disappointing that NPSC, as a recruiting body that commands immense respect from the aspirants, could allow such illegal deputation to take place from its own office, adding to the woes of aspirants. We, therefore, request the NPSC to immediately recall the mentioned individual to his parent department and also, that the resultant vacancy be requisitioned to NPSC by the department of Rural Development,” stated the association.
The PSAN also stated that it reiterates its earlier demands as mentioned in its ultimatums issued to 4 departments that the posts that fall within the purview of NPSC rightfully belong to the aspiring hardworking candidates and should be requisitioned to NPSC without any further delay else any defaulting department “will be dealt with and PSAN will take its own course of action”.
