Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The directorate of school education has informed teachers across the state that September 15 next would be the final day to get enrolled for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course via The National Institute of Open Schooling portal.
A press release from the school education authorities on Thursday stated that while primary school teachers with B.Ed degree need not enrol to said course, they however must enrol for a bridge course of six months through the NIOS portal.
“Those primary teachers who have obtained diploma from DIET (SCERT) are considered as trained. Those teaching at upper primary level (Cl: VI-VIII) should have graduation with D.El.Ed or graduation with B.Ed in accordance with NCTE norms.
“Teachers with less than 45% marks in 10+2 exam need to enrol for improvement along with D.El.Ed simultaneously even if the teacher has graduation (sic). Primary teachers having only matriculate qualification need to enrol for 10+2 exam along with D.El.Ed through NIOS simultaneously,” it informed.
The teachers have been advised to register using their respective U-DISE codes ‘to avoid inconvenience.’
“Offline bulk registration for government elementary teachers is allowed till 12th of September, 2017 and this mode of registration is for remote areas only where internet facility is not available. For this contact your respective SDEO/DEO for details.
“Candidate should produce voter ID card/Aadhar in addition to other relevant details and make a payment of Rs. 4500 towards NIOS registration fee.”
