Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries and Printing & Stationary, Shetoyi Sumi inaugurated a new building for a primary health centre besides inaugurating the upgrade to a government middle school at Medical Colony in Suruhuto on April 25.
During the event, the parliamentary secretary appraised the public ‘on the importance of clean election campaign.’ He thanked various nongovernmental organisations for their initiative in making the people aware. He said that the public should give importance and ‘raise voice for development’ instead of ‘bargaining for one’s own benefits.’ The politician encouraged them to work together and cooperate ‘for more development in the area.’
The parliamentary secretary inspected the primary health centre. During the event, he was told about various needs for equipments such as cold storage, fencing, and a laboratory, among others. The parliamentary secretary assured the medical officer and staffers that he will highlight their grievances to the authorities in concern.
During his tour, Shetoyi Sumi inspected various offices at Suruhuto town along with DBs, GBs and community leaders and raised concerns to the respective department regarding irregular employees and staffers. The government employees were asked to be regular and serve the people with ‘sincerity and dedication.’
