Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has, more or less, accused the NPF-led DAN coalition of choosing to support an “anti-Christian and anti-Muslim” in the form of Ram Nath Kovind for president.
In a statement issued on Saturday, NPCC president K Therie stated that by choosing to support the candidature of Kovind, the NPF-led DAN government has finished its regional identity. “They have completely surrendered to BJP and RSS. NPF-led DAN has declared that BJP is their natural ally and further today, they have gone one step more declaring to extend unflinching support to the BJP’s presidential nominee. While the decisions may please BJP and RSS, it has insulted the Christian society of Nagaland gravely”.
According to the NPCC, it was “hard to believe that Baptist MLAs” would agree to such arrangement. “If they are for Jesus, they should not be doing this. Ram Nath Kovind is an RSS Cadre. His pictures circulated in social media prove he is an RSS man. Ram Nath once said, Christians and Muslims are alien to the Indian Nation. This statement proves beyond doubt that he is also anti-Christian and anti-Muslim”.
