I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

The scripture defines faith as an act of commitment to God. The writer of the Hebrews writes “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  (Hebrews 11:1). The answer concerning faith is that it is an answer in itself. Though we often speak about faith we hardly adhere to the virtues of it. The scripture promises us that great things can happen through faith. The way ordinary men and women became great through faith is the evidence of the promises of the Word.

The sad truth is that very few considers faith as a gift and many are void of this virtue. Our stance in Christ crumbles when our faith is insecure. We often tend to ignore the importance of this gift. Ignoring this gift is the same as rejecting the power of God. It is to be noted that we can only be saved through faith and that we can be empowered by faith alone. It is clearly written in the Bible where the writer states… “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

The power of the gospel had been revealed to us that we may be empowered through it. The truth is that it can be ours only if we think so. The promises of God’s blessings are further evidenced in the scripture which states “and these signs shall accompany those who believes. In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. Mark 16:17,18.

These verses of truths will strengthen and empower all the believers who believes in the blessings of it. The truth is that Jesus died that we can conquer death  and sin through Him. The Word also makes it clear to us that we can be empowered through Him. The signs and wonders that Jesus performed are all recorded in the Bible. We are still witnessing the miracles of God even in this generation.. the sick are healed, the dead are raised, the captives are set free and the blind are given sight. The way the evil spirits submit to the authority of Christ is also a sign of victory for the Church of Christ.

The Word of God says “ I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to over come all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. These are the powers and the gifts which are bestowed upon all the saints and believers in Christ. Whatever Jesus said would happen are happening today. It is also the evidence that the truth of His Word never fails.

The Word of Prophecy states “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I had been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 11:12. The prophecies of the gospel was fulfilled only after the day of the Pentecost and it continues to this very day. There are confirmed reports of miraculous happenings and I am also a witness to it. The power of faith had also been upon me. I urge you to accept this gift today and claim victory against all the forces that are against us. We have a war to fight and a battle to win. So win the war through faith and secure your salvation through it. It is ours because God says so. Claim it. The Church of Christ prays for you. The power of faith is here. Receive it through faith.
