Dimapur, August 21 (EMN): All postal services and transactions will come to a standstill on August 23 when the postal employees union of Nagaland will also be participating in the one day nationwide strike along with their colleagues in the rest of the country.
A press release issued by the Postal Employees’ Union, Nagaland Division through Daniel Domeh the divisional secretary stated that the strike was called by the National Federation of Postal Employees in demand of their 10-points charter.
Among others, the charter includes the implementation of positive “recommendations of GDS committee report” and withdrawal of the New Pension Scheme a.k.a NPS.
The union also conveyed regret for the inconvenience caused to the public on the day.
