His Excellency, the President, Y Wangtin Naga NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) delivered his ‘40th Naga Republic Day speech’ on the occasion of Naga Republic Day at Ceasefire Office Mon on 21st March 2019.
The Naga Sovereignty was saved on the formation of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) in April 1980 under the leadership of Late. Isak Chishi Swu, Inno Th. Muivah, Late SS Khaplang and Late Gen(Retd) Khole after the signing of the ‘Infamous Shillong Accord’ which turned out to be the most disastrous ‘Political events and Political Misadventure’ in the journey of ‘Naga National Political Movement’ but the living God saved the Naga Political rights from being ‘Sold Out’ by a vested particular group having a handful of people, and thus today, we are proud to exclaim that the Nagas are not ‘Lost
People’, but has our own ‘Distinct Identity’ which even GoI had to admit and declare every now and then.
Under no circumstances, the Naga Political rights can be compromised and our ‘Legitimate History’ be burried, neither in the past, nor at Present and never in the days to come.
The Political talk which is going on between NNPGS/WC and GoI is heading towards the right direction and both ‘Entities’ are working tirelessly to hammer out an ‘Acceptable and Honourable Solution’ sooner than later.
As such, it is pertinent that, we the Naga people must also understand our position and stand firm so as to bargain our ‘Ligitimate Rights’ with our Counterpart(the GoI) and to accept what is best for us, in consonance with the ‘Contemporary Political Reality’
