PGC alumni holds annual meet

Dimapur, Dec. 5 (EMN): Alumni Association of the Pfutsero Government College held its annual meeting on November 29 in the college auditorium with Dr. Zavisa Rume, Associate professor of SCERT and president of Nagaland Education Association, as the guest speaker. Speaking on the occasion, the guest speaker Dr. Zavisa reminisced the good old days at Pfutsero Government College and expressed gratitude to his professors. He has also appreciated the college for producing many great citizens. To the alumni he said, “We are the representatives of our college. The quality of the college is represented by the actions of the alumni.” He also encouraged the alumni to foster spirit of loyalty, unity and healthy interaction. To promote growth of the college and to benefit the students, he advised both the college faculty and the association to take up vocational oriented programmes like resources club, creative art, placement seminars, and to provide all the available resources. The invocation was said by Kache Kapfo, while the president of Alumni Association PGC Thipuhu Thira delivered the presidential address. A song titled, ‘You will never walk alone’ was presented by Wekhro-u Thele. The college principal Dr. Moanochet Longchar exhorted the alumni to stay united and connected to bring development to the college.” Cukhoyi Chiero gave a brief report of the alumni association, while Chandini, assistant professor pronounced the benediction.
