Pfutseromi youth celebrate Tsukhenyie festival

MLA Neiba Kronu along with others on the occasion of 68th annual session of the Pfutseromi Youth Organisation cum Tsukhenyie festival celebration on April 24 in Pfutsero town.

Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): Pfutseromi Youth Society held its 68th annual session cum Tsukhenyie festival on April 24 with Neiba Kronu, MLA of 16 Pfutsero Assembly Constituency, as the chief guest, who also laid the foundation stone for playground for the village.
The programme was led by Neikhwetso Mero, VCC, and the dedicatory prayer was offered by Dr. Tsulingupe Kapfo.
Addressing the gathering at the Pfutseromi village community hall comprising government officials, VCCs and VDBs from neighboring villages, public leaders, well wishers and the villagers, the chief guest traced his ancestral roots of Pfutseromi village and reminisced about his childhood days when he used to visit the neighboring villages during Tsukhenyi festival every year. He stressed on the need of good infrastructure and connectivity for social and financial development.
The MLA also Pfutsero-Tadubi road, multi-purpose stadium, new college building, Pfutsero town sports complex, new GA rest house will be implemented in future.
He also informed the gathering about a new scheme under NSRLM initiated by him in Pfutsero, Kohima and Longleng for improving the financial status of the rural womenfolk. Highlighting the potential of tourism and hospitality in the area, he exhorted the gathering to be physically and mentally prepared for all round development.
He also conveyed Tsukhenyie greetings to all. The chief guest was accompanied by his lady wife, PS Weprepe Mero and senior leaders. The programme was chaired by Lhiwepelo Rinse, former PYC president, while the invocation was said by Lonyo Mero, head Deacon PTBC. Neikhwetso Mero, VCC, said the greetings, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Kope Mero, PYS vice president and benediction was pronounced by Lhiwenyi Kapfo, Deacon PBC.
