Dimapur, Oct. 10 (EMN): To dissuade students from engaging in harmful habits such as using tobacco and drugs, a seminar on the impact of substance abuse was conducted at North Town Higher Secondary School, on October 8. Addressing the students, Dr. C Tetseo, the district nodal officer of the National Tobacco Control Programme, spoke about the dangers of using addictive substances such as tobacco, drugs and alcohol. He said that substance abuse become a life-long problem especially when the habit is formed when the brain is still developing. He urged the students not to risk their lives. Tetseo also encouraged the students get vaccinated against measles and rubella.
