‘Blazes of Flames’

Ambrose.J. Chakre

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying of my hands. (2 Tim 6:6)
Every gift in us is a gift of God and if the fires within us are holy, so our desires must be. The world we live in is hostile to everything which is good and it will be unwise for anyone to submit to man’s order rather than to the order of God. So many servants of God are infected with negativity and it is not in the interest of the Church of God to see them hinder others from entering the kingdom of God. The gifts within us must be honored and as iron sharpens iron so I sharpen you in the truth (Proverbs 27:17) There are also those who speaks not to fan the flames but to extinguish it.(1 Thessalonians. 5:19). So by what they teach they try to put out the Spirit’s fire. This is not love and it is only to their shame and to the harm of others that they commit the indecent acts. Fear of man will prove to be a snare and the ones who fears is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18) In regard to the gifts, it is written “For God’s gift and his call are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29) The interpretation of this is that if it is given, it is given and if we are called we are called. This does not mean that we receive what we receive by our goodness but it is the very love of God which is a mystery in itself. In addition to this, the Word of God states “As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you no not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit just as it has taught you, remain in him (1 John 2:27) This means that we are to stick to the word, not to be easily deceived like a dove. (Hosea 7:11) The gift has to be known, it has to be fanned and most important the one who gave it must be honored. The greater the callings are, the more the temptations will be and it must be endured. The Holy Scriptures states” There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear and it is important to stand firm in the powers of it, not being moved by the waves of false accusations which comes against us.
The very reason I write this is not to promote rebellion but to equip you. And everyone on the side of the truth will listen to us. (1 John 4:6)” See he is puffed up, his desires are not upright -but the righteous will live by his faith” is what the Scripture says and the revelations of it are a gift in itself. (Habakkuk 2:4) The last line, “The righteous will live by his faith,” speaks a language of what we must be established in. The Apostle Paul in his 2nd letter to the Corinthians said,” I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. (2 Corinthians. 12:1) It is not to our glory that we boast but to God’s honor that we declare His praises. The Word also firmly exhorts us “ To eagerly desire the greater gifts”(1 Corinthians 12:3) It is a fire which must be desired and we trust you not to be tossed back and forth by the waves but to firmly hold on to the word of truth implanted in you. To whom much is given, much will be required and we urge you not to lose what you can gain. (Matt 25:29) (Luke 8:18) The fires are on and we trust it to burn brighter till we witness the beauty of our King whom we have never seen but felt his powers in us. God is the fire.

N.B: Blazes of Flames teaches the saints not to grope in the dark but to walk in the light as they pass through every unfamiliar paths. As the psalmist said “ Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path”, we trust God’s power to be your guide even as you walk through every dark valley and even as you live to fulfill the will of God. (Psalm 119:105) Remember to whom we will be accountable. This truth is for us and for everyone who believes.
