Peducha Baptist church gets new building

Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): Peducha Baptist Church (PBC) on Sunday dedicated its beautiful new church building with a programme themed ‘Khrista La Ziechülie.’ It is located at Kiruphema village in Kohima district.
Rev. Zhabu Terhüja unveiled the new building and opened the house of God to the congregation, updates informed on Sunday. The reverend delivered the sermon of the event referring to Matthew 5:14: ‘You are the light of the world. A city that is set on hill cannot be hidden.’ He reminded the gathering that “Christ is the foundation of the church.”
Rev. Terhüja acknowledged the faithful devotees for their generous contribution toward construction of the church. He said that just as they had contributed generously, God will shower abundant blessings on them. He said that the church was a blessing for all and urged them to pray stronger for the growth of the church. The church leader was of the opinion that the new church building was a sign of unity and ‘the church must understand that Christ is for justice.’
Presiding over the occasion was Pastor Pechüvilie Kruneilie, the updates stated. The church is a house of prayer and a place of teaching God’s word, he said. ‘Church is a place of preaching gospel and also a place of cleansing oneself. It is also a place to help poor,’ he added, according to the updates.
Medolhoulie Vielie, secretary of the church construction committee, gave a report about the building construction work. The church was built at a cost of one crore and 80 lakh, the updates stated.
The building has a seating capacity of around 900 with parking space, three washrooms with a capacity for nine; 32ft in height and covering 6850 sq.feet.
Dzüviho Kin, convenor of the church construction committee, thanked all the believers for their constant financial and prayer support during the construction period which took 23 months. The convenor glorified God saying that labourers involved in the church construction were both Hindu and Christian.
