PDA to announce candidates for LS, by-election

Dimapur, March 13: The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) will announce the candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and by-election to the 26th Aonglenden assembly constituency in Mokokchung at a ticket distribution ceremony to be held at the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) central headquarters in Dimapur on Thursday.

The PDA has re-nominated sitting Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi for the Parliamentary polls and nominated Sharingain Longkumer, son of former minister late Nungshizenba Longkumer and former General Manager and Managing Partner of Eastern Mirror, for the Aonglenden constituency.

Several legislators from PDA, including Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio are expected to attend the tickets handing-over ceremony.
