Patton confident of NDA’s return to power

Dimapur, March 23 (EMN): The deputy chief minister of Nagaland Yanthungo Patton is confident that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will return to power as the ‘BJP-led NDA government at the centre had delivered its commitments to the people of the country.’
Patton was stated to have said so during an address to the 8th Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) executive meeting on March 23, at Mon town. A copy of his speech was received here on Saturday.

The speech read: “The BJP-led NDA government at centre had delivered its commitments to the people of the country in many as aspects. People of India will surely acknowledged the achievements and efforts of the BJP government for the last five years. I am confident that the NDA government will return to power in the centre with absolute majority.”

Also, he claimed that the BJP had been ‘growing from strength to strength’ led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who Patton described the “chowkidar” of the country.

The BJP leader said that the Nagaland unit of the BJP had secured a ‘record number of seats in the last assembly elections in the state and became an important constituent in the Peoples’ Democratic Alliance (PDA) government which has recently completed its one year in office under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.’
As for the lone Lok Sabha seat for Nagaland, he said, ‘We have decided to set up a consensus PDA candidate Tokheho Yepthomi and I on behalf of all the BJP legislators of the state, assure to work with determination so as to get a record winning margin of our candidate during the upcoming lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland.’

“We shall continue to work under the blessing and guidance of the BJP Central leaders even in the days to come,” he added.
