There are certain times and situations when you’ve felt so “DIRTY and ICKY “ that you couldn’t fathom how the Lord could still love you.
It’s just a fact that we’re all “dirty & icky, all of us”. But God doesn’t look on our sin. He is perfect & He cannot accept sin. When He looks at us He sees Jesus, who as a mediator gets us through to God.
And though we are dirty & sinful, we realize that we would not be too sinful for Jesus, nor would be overexcited.
Jesus paid the price and took all our dirtiness & our imperfections, & our sins on Himself. The degree of our sinfulness doesn’t really matter to the Lord; everybody’s dirty or icky. And if salvation and God’s blessings were dependent on our own righteousness, then we are all too dirty for God. But thanks to Jesus we don’t need to worry about it or feel that it keeps us from God. However, we can not base whether we are close to God or whether the Lord loves us on our filthiness…it doesn’t matter how awful we are.
Leaving to the readers to exercise their grey-matter and glean knowledge and understanding( if they find anything of value in today’s the on the afore-cited matter of “NEGATIVE THINKING”, allow me to switch on to another sub- topic, ie ‘Pride” which, together with Negative attitude forms a deadly combination…and could harm or ruin family life, as well as personal life, and even cause ultimate/sudden demise of dear, near and far ones:
*MANY OF us today have trouble taking correction although we all know that we need it and deserve it.
*IF OUR spirits are submissive we can take correction a lot easier because we won’t fight against its will.
*THE LORD uses chastisement & correction in order to make His children understand and strive harder to cope with the times.
But, What’s it that keeps us from obeying…? What is it that holds us from submitting ourselves to God? What is it that makes us rebellious, defiant, & resentful? What causes that refusal to surrender…
I THINK WE can say if we prevent correction or don’t like it or are rebellious against it, that its usually BECAUSE OF PRIDE .
Having overcome Negative attitude, Pride, and Self- righteousness, any believer would himself in a much better and secure position against his adversary.
As sinner as I am, I pray that God’s protective angels keep good watch over us @Anytime, any day.
