Organisations mourn Kevi Zakiesato’s demise

NPCC: President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), K Therie, while condemning the cold-blooded murder of Kevi Zakiesato rues that there is no longer any respect for the government, law and its enforcing agencies adding people are no longer safe even in their own homes.
Therie stated that the murder of a peaceful leader like Zakiesato is akin to the murder of peace and harmony and deserves the highest condemnation. He has described Kevi Zakiesato as a selfless leader who had served in various capacities in the Congress party including as NPCC general secretary and president DCC, Dimapur. He also served the public on many other public platforms and was also elected twice as member of Dimapur town council (DTC). He lamented that his untimely demise has created an irreparable vacuum which cannot be filled.

NPCC has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God to grant them solace and peace in their hour of sorrow. It further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

NPP: State unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) expresses sadness over the untimely demise of Kevi Zakiesetuo, former candidate from Dimapur 1 A/C. NPP also extended condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God to grant them comfort in their hour of sorrow. It further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

CAKU: Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU), while mourning the demise of Kevi Zakiesatuo, described him as a prominent citizen of Dimapur who had served the Nagas in various capacities.
CAKU, in a press release issued by its president Luola Üsou and the general secretary Thejangulie Angami have appealed the concerned agencies not to leave any stone unturned in the investigation process and booked the perpetrators at the earliest. CAKU also warned that it would not remain a silent spectator against the crimes against the community either be it from within or external forces.

While conveying condolence to the condolence to the bereaved family, CAKU prayed to the Almighty God to grant them strength and solace in their hour of sorrow.

WAPO: Western Angami Public Organisation (WAPO), while mourning the demise of Kevi Zakiesato, appealed the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned in bringing the culprit(s) to book and award befitting punishment to the perpetrators responsible for the murder.

WAPO president Lhouphrevilie Rino and the general secretary Keviphotsü Khwükha have conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

SCD: Sumi Council Dimapur (SCD) mourns the untimely demise of a prominent social worker and pioneer of Dimapur town Kevi Zakiesato, who passed away on December 18.

The council chairman, Kuhoi Zhimo, described him as an active Congress leader who also contested assembly election from1 Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency once. While conveyed condolence to his wife Mrs Sivi Zakiesato and children, the Sumi Council Dimapur prayed for departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

Punjabi community: Punjabi community, Dimapur, while mourning the untimely death of Kevi Zakiesato, described him as a secular person who loved the people
irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The community president, Gurbachan Singh, lamented that the people of Dimapur would miss him and added that the void created by his demise would be difficult to fill.
Punjabi community, Dimapur, while conveying condolence to his wife and children, prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
