Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): The Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) has expressed anguished over what it called the unwarranted raid carried out by security forces on the residence of a citizen, Savi Liegise, on March 15 ‘thereby causing mental trauma to the family members.’

The CAKU issued a joint press release appended by its president Loula-o Üsou and general secretary Thejangulie Angami. The union strongly condemned the raid on a citizen in the likes of Savi, and his family, who the group said was a well-known social worker.

Stating that Savi had served the people since his youth till date in various capacities for peace and harmony, CAKU has termed the action of Indian army as totally unacceptable and uncalled for.

CAKU further warned that it would not remain silent spectators to such act if such atrocity is meted to any of its peace loving citizens in future.

In a separate statement, the Dimapur unit of Lievüse Clan has condemned in the strongest of terms the high handedness of the army action on the repeated raids of the residence of Savi Liegise. It has termed as ‘unfortunate’ that the high profile Indian army with the highest intelligence network could conduct blatant and infamous search by intruding into the residence of an upright public leader whose credentials are unquestionable.

The unit clan convenor Ahuzo Tho-u has demanded the army to apologise for causing irreparable damage to the reputation of Savi Liegise and also causing untold psychological harm to all the innocence family members particularly the ladies and the minor children.

While terming the act ‘totally inhuman and deplorable,’ the clan stated that act should be condemned by every right thinking person.
