Opposition party will fight for people’s right – Azheto Zhimomi
Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): MLA Azheto Zhimomi said though the party is not in power, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) is ‘pretty much organized and committed to work for the right and welfare of the people.’ He assured that ‘the party as opposition in the assembly will fight for the right of the people.’
He was addressing the NPF workers based in Dimapur and well wishers at a felicitation programme, organised by NPF party workers for MLAs of 2 Dimapur-II and Dimapur-III ACs on April 1 at party’s office in Dimapur. Updates received from the organisers on Tuesday informed about the event.
Zhimomi is said to have encouraged the party workers that NPF with collective effort and contribution of all will work together as one family for strengthening and interest of the party.
He also urged the party functionaries not misguide their MLAs but to cooperate so that they can work for the public.
Also speaking at the programme, MLA Moatoshi Longkumer said ‘he stand committed to practice what he preach,’ stating that he will not be able to fulfill the aspirations of the people at the earliest with limited resources but will endure it to bring about a change.
He said Dimapur needs change and believed that the public would cooperate with him by changing their mindset thus paving the way for the change to come to Dimapur. He added that the party alone cannot bring change but all concerned should join hands and work together at achieve our desired goal.
